Is Skin Tools Pro Safe? Ban Risk & Security Explained

The short answer

No third-party game tool can be guaranteed 100% safe, and we will not pretend otherwise. Skin Tools Pro is a free Android app that previews cosmetics locally, and there are sensible ways to reduce the risk. This guide covers both the device risk (malware, permissions) and the account risk (bans).

Device safety: malware and fake files

The biggest danger is not the original app but the files pretending to be it. Repacked builds, unofficial mirrors and anything called a Mod APK can contain spyware or credential-stealing code. Use only the file on our download page, check the developer (kh_me) and package (com.vcm21.SkinToolsConfigFF), and scan the file with a trusted antivirus if you installed it manually.

Permissions to expect

The app needs storage access to read game data and network access to fetch packs. It should not need your contacts, SMS, microphone or accounts. If a version asks for more, uninstall it.

Account safety: can you get banned?

Possibly. Modifying game files or using unauthorized software can violate the Free Fire terms of service, and the publisher may act on accounts it detects, even when changes are only cosmetic. Garena does not publish its detection methods, so claims such as "100% anti-ban" or "undetectable" are red flags.

If you decide to use the app anyway, use a secondary account, keep your main account away from it, and accept that you do so at your own risk. Read our disclaimer too.

Privacy

Never type your Free Fire, Google or social media password into this app or any "skin generator" website. A genuine skin preview tool does not need your login. Be especially wary of anything promising free diamonds.

Safety checklist

Follow this list before installing:

• Download only from the link on our download page.
• Match developer name, package name and file size.
• Be careful with files called Mod, Premium or Unlocked from other websites. Skin Tools Pro Max is offered on this site on its own page.
• Do not disable Play Protect permanently.
• Use a secondary Free Fire account.
• Keep your phone and the game up to date.

Safer alternatives

If you only want to see how outfits look together, an outside outfit generator or a wishlist inside the game carries no account risk at all. Our alternatives guide compares options.

Final word

Be careful, be skeptical of promises, and keep your login private. More answers are in the FAQ, and the Skin Tools Pro homepage always shows the current version details.
