Skin Tools Pro Not Working? 10 Fixes (Skins Not Showing)
Skin Tools Pro · free Free Fire skin preview app · v2.0.4
Skin Tools Pro skins not showing, app crashing or not installing? Try these 10 tested fixes for Android, storage permission and version problems.
Before you start
Most problems with Skin Tools Pro come from a small number of causes: an outdated app, a Free Fire update that changed the files the tool reads, a missing permission, or a low-storage device. Work through the fixes below in order. They take only a few minutes each.
Fix 1: Update to the latest version
Check that you are on the current release, 2.0.4 at the time of writing. Compare your version with the download page. An old build may not understand recent Free Fire file layouts, which is the number one reason skins stop showing.
Fix 2: Make sure Free Fire is installed and updated
The app needs the game installed on the same device. If Free Fire updated recently, open it once, let it finish downloading its resources, close it, and then run Skin Tools Pro again.
Fix 3: Grant storage access
Open Android Settings, choose Apps, open Skin Tools Pro and review its permissions. Without storage access the app cannot read game data. On newer Android versions you may need to grant file access manually when prompted inside the app.
Fix 4: Free up storage space
The app is about 49.4 MB, and many skin packs download additional data. Keep at least 2 GB free. Clear junk files and unused apps if your storage is nearly full. This also fixes most "App not installed" errors.
Fix 5: Restart the game after applying
Apply your config, fully close Free Fire (swipe it away from recent apps), and open it again. The game must reload its assets before any change is visible.
Fix 6: Check the optional extension pack
Some outfits need an extra extension pack to display correctly. If a specific bundle never appears while others do, look for a prompt inside the app to download or copy the pack.
Fix 7: Use a stable internet connection
The tool needs a connection to fetch packs and scan items. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, and disable any VPN while applying a config.
Fix 8: Reinstall cleanly
Uninstall the app, restart the phone, then install again from the link on our download page by following the install guide. Do not install over a repacked or Mod APK build, because mixed signatures cause installation failures.
Fix 9: Reduce what you apply at once
Non-clothing changes can occasionally cause problems when joining matches. If the game stalls on entry, remove the last change you made and apply items one category at a time.
Fix 10: Know when to stop
If nothing works, the cause is usually a game update the tool has not caught up with yet. Wait for the next app update. Never enter your Free Fire login in any "fix" tool, and read the safety guide before trying anything unusual. More answers are on the FAQ page, and the main Skin Tools Pro hub shows the latest version information.
